SN9264 : Caban Coch dam overflowing

taken 15 years ago, near to Elan Village, Powys, Wales

Caban Coch dam overflowing
Caban Coch dam overflowing
A dramatic view of the lowest downstream of the Elan Valley reservoirs, Caban Coch, overflowing its dam on a sunny March morning. Note the sunlit spray. The line of projecting masonry across the dam originally supported a timber structure, which was traversed by a mobile crane during the construction works.
