M J Richardson's GravatarProfile for M J Richardson

More about me

Retired plant pathologist, lived in Edinburgh area for 44 years, with an interest in most aspects of biology, fungi particularly, and, until recently, gliding, and travel. I discovered Geograph by accident and, before I knew about GotY, discovered I had two pictures shortlisted:- NT3335 : The maze at Traquair by M J Richardson, and NT2573 : The Millennium Clock Tower by M J Richardson. Four more followed, some of which I would not have given a second look :- NT1473 : Edinburgh Airport - Control Tower by M J Richardson, NT5183 : The vaults of Dirleton Castle by M J Richardson, NH7500 : Evening light across Strathspey by M J Richardson and SJ7805 : The fated TSR II aircraft at Cosford by M J Richardson, while much better ones found their way to the reject pile. Two that I think are a lot of fun are TM1023 : My other car is a Mini by M J Richardson and NN8339 : Are you looking at us? by M J Richardson. I have only managed one in 2008 so far:- NT2153 : Frosty birches at Lamancha by M J Richardson, and another in June, which would have not caught my eye: NT3361 : Leaf beetle by M J Richardson.
