NN7507 : Very wet pastures, Hill House

4 km from Kinbuck, Stirling, Great Britain

Very wet pastures, Hill House
Very wet pastures, Hill House
Much of the low quality rough grazing here has been replaced by forestry. Plenty remains however and a quick look at the barbed wire shows that cattle have grazed here.
Thanks to the very wet Summer, the ground is waterlogged. There is also evidence of peat extraction here. I expect the Cromlix Estate was peat heated once.
