There are several cottages along the left bank of the Arkle Beck between Storthwaite Hall and High Fremington. Each requires a degree of determination to reach, so living there might not be that attractive. There is evidence of recent renovation work at Heggs House, but the approach track from Langthwaite would severely test a 4X4 vehicle.
