SM7931 : Sea spurrey (Spergularia sp.)
near to Abereiddy, Pembrokeshire/Sir Benfro, Great Britain

Sea spurrey (Spergularia sp.)
This is one of several very similar and easily-overlooked species of sea spurrey, growing on the wall on one of the slateworkers' ruined dwellings. Most of the tiny pale purple or mauve star-like flowers are over and the seed capsules are developing - whence the plant's name from the Latin spargo, to scatter.
