TA1767 : The Avenue, Westgate
near to Bridlington, East Riding of Yorkshire, Great Britain

The Avenue, Westgate
The two rainwater heads on the front of the building are dated 1714, which would suggest the house is of the Queen Anne period. The largest and finest house in Bridlington old town, it served as a hospital from 1932 to around 1980, after which it lay empty for a long time before being converted to apartments in the mid nineties. The stone porch with doric columns is early 19th century.
