This plaque in the front wall of Barclays Bank to the left of the entrance marks the place where the world's first cash dispenser was installed on 27 June 1967. This plaque was given in commemoration by the London Borough of Enfield, The Worshipful the Mayor of Enfield Councillar Doreen Mardon on 26 June 1992 to mark the 25th Anniversary of this event which changed the world of banking for ever.
