Shunting yard, Boston Lodge works, Ffestiniog Railway
View across the yard at Boston Lodge works, the engineering works of Ffestiniog Railway. It is located on the outside of the sharp bend in the line as it approaches the Cob, the dam across Traeth Mawr, the reclaimed land in the Glaslyn estuary. The running line is behind the fence in the background, and the A487 is immediately behind that, but at the bottom of a five metre tall retaining wall. Further in the distance is Traeth Mawr and the hills Moel Ddu and, in cloud, Moel Hebog.
