Boston Lodge works, Ffestiniog Railway
Looking across the crammed yard of Boston Lodge works on the Ffestiniog Railway towards Moel Ddu and, in cloud, Moel Hebog. The works is located on the outside of a sharp bend in the railway as it reaches the Cob, the dam across the reclaimed land of Traeth Mawr in the Glaslyn estuary. The space is rather confined due to the presence of a rock cliff at the back of the workshops.
The locomotive in the foreground is Merddin Emrys, built at Boston Lodge in 1879. Link
