Sluice gate, Wall Common, near Steart
Wall Common is a low-lying marshy area of land used at the moment for the keeping of a few sheep. I'm not familiar with the area but I think the marsh is used for flood storage in winter. The Somerset Levels have a sophisticated system of floodwater management and the sluices (there are at least two) are part of that.
