ST4063 : St Saviour's church tower, Puxton
near to Puxton, North Somerset, Great Britain

St Saviour's church tower, Puxton
The church is at its oldest about 800 years of age. The tower probably started leaning not long after construction started as the increasing weight of the tower started bearing down on the peaty subsoil. It seems to have stabilized now. The main body of the church is also out of plumb if to a lesser degree. Warning to visitors: badgers have taken to digging up worms in the churchyard and there could be hidden holes to trip the unwary.
