Rocky Shore
Rocky Shore
The shoreline rocks, like those on the distant headland at the far side of Lunan Bay, are mainly basaltic andesites of the Montrose Volcanic Formation. It is not known where the volcano lay from which these lavas were erupted, but it may have been somewhere out to sea.
