NO6948 : What is this grass?
near to Ethie Mains, Angus, Great Britain
What is this grass?
I'd be happy for any help with identifying this plant, which was growing at the edge of a field of barley. It has awns like barley, only shorter, and a branching structure unlike barley. I am sure it is a grass, and I think it is a brome, possibly Soft Brome (Bromus hordeacus or B mollis).
