This bwlch (pass) separates the steep valley (to the west) of the Nant Lluest-fach LinkExternal link , a tributary of the Afon Doethie LinkExternal link , from the gentler Cwm Nant Llwyd LinkExternal link to the east, which feeds into the Camddwr. Both rivers are part of the Tywi river system and merge downstream (south) of Llyn Brianne.
