Victorian postbox (disused), High Street
Fairly near to The Manor House Nursing Home and inserted into the front garden wall of a nearby property, this Victorian postbox is sealed and disused. Judging by the look of it, the postbox has not been used for many years. The initials VR for Victoria Regina can be clearly seen at the top. As Queen Victoria died in 1901 this box has been sitting there for at least 107 years, probably a good deal longer.
