Work was being done on the track here in May 2002. In the far left distance can be seen part of The Gynn Pub. Up to the early 1960's a tram line used to go up the road to the right of the pub to serve Blackpool North station. There has in recent years been talk of a new tramway to that station although the route might be slightly different to the original one.
