Nuttall Park was a piece of land donated to the people of Ramsbottom by Colonel T E Porritt in 1928 and is at present being leased to Woodbank Juniors football club from nearby Bury.
The landlord of the nearby Masons Arms public house was sent a bill in July 2008 amounting to £348.34 for unauthorised use of these facilities because some of his customers played a game of football in the park.
