SY2790 : The Combe
near to Axmouth, Devon, Great Britain

The Combe
A valley east of Axmouth. Springhead Cross is a few yards ahead on the left, close to the source of the stream that flows to meet the Axe at Axmouth. A big contrast to the open nature of the upper valley sides and plateau top, the wooded nature of the scene reflects steep slopes, marshy valley floor, and the abandonment of quarries and pits.
