Ash tree just in leaf, Bierton
On this track to Grendon Hill Farm the ash trees were still not in full leaf in early May, but oak trees were fully into leaf. The leaves of oak trees come out when it gets warm, and April was unusually warm. The time when ash leaves come out is more dependent on hours of daylight than warmth.
