Fragment of a "Hogback"
Fragment of a "Hogback"
A hogback tombstone with interlace and a bear biting into it. Dating from the Anglo-Danish period. Could this be the tomb of a warrior that helped create "Danes Dike" an earthen bank & ditch that divides Flamborough Head from Bridlington, less than 6 miles away.
