Cannon on Fort Royal Hill
This replica cannon on Worcester's Fort Royal Hill commemorates the Battle of Worcester on 3 September 1651. Fort Royal Hill was a Royalist stronghold which was overrun by the Parliamentarian forces who then turned the captured cannons on the city, defeating the royalist forces and bringing to an end the English Civil War.
